TWO YEARS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GHANA MEDICAL SCHOOL.

I got admission into the University of Ghana Medical School in the same year Josh, the President of ANE came to the country. I started the course with enthusiasm and happiness. You can just imagine the kind of happiness I am talking about, the way you feel when you finally get something you have been expecting so anxiously. This happiness was really perfected by ANE when I started receiving the necessary support from the wonderful people of ANE. All Nations Education(ANE) has been so influential in my life so far as my academics, spiritual and social life is concerned.
It has not been all rosy with me during these past two years in the school. The course, Medicine is quite challenging. The volume of information we are to assimilate in the very short duration of a semester is very enormous. Sometimes I don’t even cover all the reading materials before we write some tests. The only prayer of every student at this point is God should help us pass our exams. It is at this stage the Grace of God comes into play especially when you have not finished reading, if God is not on your side you would not be able to pass. Even some few times you may think you had read almost everything before exams but the result doesn’t correlates to what you’ve read. It is at this point I really come to appreciate what the favor of God is. I want to assure you that GOD is real and is ever ready to hear us and grant us our heart desires.
Along the line, the going became tough especially at level 300 with the Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Hematology, and Chemical Path. But I just look up to God for His will to be done in my life. Glory be to God for He was always there when I needed him the most. No wonder Franklin D. Roosevelt wrote “When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on”. He knew that no storm is forever. In life determination in the storm of life with God on your side is the key to your arrival at the promise Land. It is this belief that saw me through my first two years at the college. I am hoping to start my level 400, that is the beginning of my Clinical studies when school reopens with even more favor and grace from the Lord of my Hope carrying my friends and I through it all, no matter how tough or challenging the road might be.
It might interest you to know that my family is doing very well. My Dad, Mum and siblings gave me a lovely welcome when I went home during the holidays. I wish you were in Ghana to see the kind of welcome I am talking about. They really appreciate what ANE is imparting into my life. I receive greetings from them to you. May the Blessing of our Almighty and All-knowing God abound for you all.
Just to stimulate your appetite about my current engagement, I started my Community Service in one of the Hospitals. It has been so fascinating so far and I give God thanks for that. Watch out for the detail from this service…………………………
Stayed Blessed.
